the Healthcare Provider: BLS for the Healthcare Provider is an 8 hour course designed for the professional rescuer, (nurses, doctors, EMT's). This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including ventilation with barrier devices, a bag-mask device and oxygen), use of the automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstructions. It is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings. Renewal courses is available for current card holders. Heartsaver/AED: Heartsaver/AED is a comprehensive 4 hour course for the first responder. This course is designed to teach CPR, use of the automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstructions. The Heartsaver/AED is intended for all lay rescuers, particularly those in the workplace, and can be customized to include infant and child to fit your group's needs. NEW Heartsaver First Aid Course: The purpose of this 3-7 hour course is to teach lay people and first response rescuers the knowledge and skills they need to recognize emergencies at worksites, in schools and in the community and the provide initial first aid. OSHA regulations require all businesses with 10 or more employees must have a trained first aid responder on staff. This course is appropriate for all individuals who wish to learn the skills of first aid and can be customized to include CPR & AED training.
